Poetry Anthology by Jacqueline Hall
Edited by Beverley Paine

On January 30th 2000 my sister Jacqui died, aged 44, a victim of the cancer she courageously battled for over a decade. During this time she used many creative paths as healing therapy and found poetry singing within her soul.

Jacqui was committed to working through the many problems in her life, believing that her cancer was an expression of an inner conflict. Her poems are a direct expression of her twelve year personal journey as she came to terms with her illness.

This site is dedicated to Jacqui, and includes a selection of her poems. I am sure my sister would love to share this site with the poems of people who have trod a similar path to hers on the spiritual healing journey; one of finding peace, serenity and the ability to love oneself and others. It is my aim to celebrate my sister's poetry by opening this site to fellow poets suffering from cancer, to continuously build upon her memory and legacy by sharing their words of pain, grief, joy, anger, wonder and self discovery. If you wish to contribute to this site please contact me.

In memory of my sister I have collated her poems into a hardback anthology, Learning to Let Go, ISBN 1876651172. Copies are available for AUS$10 on the Always Learning Books website - www.alwayslearningbooks.com.au. Profits from the sale of Jacqui's book are donated annually to Jacqui's favourite charity, World Vision. Jacqui felt keenly the suffering of people less fortunate than herself, especially children and sponsored a child for most of her adult life. A tithe of 50 cents per copy is paid to Trees For Life, an volunteer organisation that grows over one million trees for revegetation projects each year to compensate the Earth for the resources used in the production of this book.
